The Dictionary Project
This is one of our favorite annual projects. Each year we deliver a dictionary to every third grade student in the Ogden and Weber School Districts. This year we delivered over 2400 dictionaries!
Literacy is a fundamental aim of Rotary. We are committed to helping each child have a chance to improve literacy.
Many of the third graders comment this is the first book that is their own. While delivering the dictionaries, we also show them how to use a dictionary and the tools it has to offer.
